Pious Husband

Story

Once there was pious women who wanted to marry a pious men. She said that I will marry the one who recites the whole Quran in a single day, who fasts the whole year and worship Allah throughout the whole night.

Many people wanted to marry her. Because she was very pious and beautiful.But they were aware of the fact that they could not fulfill the conditions she set. So, one day a man approached her and said that he will fulfill all the conditions. So she accepted the proposal and they both got married.

Husband after Marriage:

After the first day of marriage she noticed that her husband is not that much pious. The husband does not fast nor he recite the whole of the Quran nor does he awake throughout the night to worship Allah. She decided to notice this for some more days. But there was no change in his routine she got depressed, complaint and also asked for divorce.

They both went to judge and questioned about the conditions. Husband said that the conditions for me were to recite the whole Quran in a single day, to fast throughout the year. and to stay awake the whole night for praying and to be be pious.
The Judge asked him, ‘Did you fulfill all the conditions?
The husband humbly answered, ‘…Yes.’
Then judge said that you are lying. Your wife has complaint that you don’t. That’s why she is asking for a divorce’.
But the man insisted that he fulfilled all the conditions.So the judge asked him, ‘Did you recite the whole Quran in a single day?’
The man answered yes.

Again Judge, baffled asked, ‘How? How can you do that?’
Man humbly responded, ‘I used to recite Surah Ikhlas three times a day. and according to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), reciting Surah Ikhlas three times is equivalent to reciting the whole Quran.’
Judge was intrigued, so he asked, ‘How did you fast the whole year?’
The man said, ‘ I fasted for the whole month of Ramadan, then kept another six fasts in the month of Shawwal, and according to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), keeping all of the fast of Ramadan then keeping six fasts in the month of Shawwal, is as if you have fasted for the whole year.’

Decision of Judge:

Now Judge remained silent, he couldn’t give a reply saying the man was wrong. So finally he questioned that How did you stay awake all night and worship Allah, when your wife saw you sleeping?’
And the judge thought the man would not be able to answer this question. but the man, humbly answered, ‘I prayed Isha prayer with jamaat. then the next day prayed Fajr prayer with jamaat. and according to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the one who prays Isha prayer and Fajr prayer with jamaat. It is as if he had stayed up all night worshiping Allah.’

The Judge sat there looking at the husband; the final verdict was about to release.
He said to the man and his wife, ‘…Go, just go, there is nothing wrong with this marriage’.

A pious wife can make a poor husband feel like the richest man in the world.With her contentment, satisfaction and gratitude.And any other wife will make her rich husband feel poor with her nagging, demands and complaints.
