The last ten nights of Ramadan is very special days than the rest of the Ramadan. In the last ten nights of Ramadan, Quran tells us is better than 1000 months. The primary of these evenings happens on the eve of the 21st day of Ramadan. As it were, it is the night that begins after the fulfillment of the 20th day of fasting.

In the  last ten nights of Ramadan, I’tikaf during Ramadan is a form of worship in which a man surrenders every one of his activities, deserts his connections, affiliations and schedules and enters the masjid for a particular period.

Hazrat Aisha reported:

Used to perform i’tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah the Mighty & Majestic, took him. (Bukhari & Muslim)

Ali Ibn Hussain (RA) narrates from his father that Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:

He who observes the ten days I’tikaf during Ramadhan will obtain the reward of two Hajj & two Umrah. (Bayhaqi).

Seeking out  Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Power) in the last ten nights of Ramadan:

One of the best qualifications of these last ten nights of Ramadan are that one of them is Laylat al-Qadr. This is the best night of the year –superior to anything a thousand months. This implies that a Muslim can gain a larger number of rewards on the Night of Power than he would if – excluding this unique night – he were to worship his Lord for eighty-four years in a row. This is one of the gigantic favors that God has offered to the Muslim community.

Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) is on one of the odd nights. Aisha relates that Prophet Muhammad said:

Seek out Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights during the last ten nights of Ramadan.(Al-Bukhari & Muslim)

Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad(SAW) said:

Look for it in the last ten nights. If one of you falls weak or unable to do so, then he should at least try on the seven remaining nights.(Muslim)

Excessive remembrance of Allah and making Excessive Dua in the last ten nights of Ramadan:

We ought to expand our remembrance of Allah amid the last ten nights of Ramadan, keeping our lips damp in his glorification & acclaims.

Allah said:

When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me. [2:186]

The times when Dua’s are most accepted during the last 10 days are:

1. The third portion of the night shortly before sehri ends.

2. Whilst fasting.
