Prophet Muhammad (SAW) nation is blessed by Allah with opportunities to earn prizes and dedications. As we all know that the last ten nights of Holy month of Ramadan are the greatest blessed nights of the whole year. In the same way, the first ten days of Zilhajj month have superior status because of the “HAJJ.” The below Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Told us the importance of these ten days in the vision of Allah and reward for all good deeds during these days. Quran and Sunnah will mentioned the superiority of these Zilhajj Last Ten Days. Allah says in the Quran:

 “By the dawn and by the ten nights … “ [Al-Qur’an 89:1-2]

Here “the ten nights” referred to the Zilhajj Last Ten Days[Ibn Kathir, Ibn Abbas, Ibn az-Zubair, Mujahid and others]. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

” no deeds as excellent as those done in these ten days.” They (the companions listening) said, “Not even Jihad?” He, peace be upon him, said, “No, not even Jihad except a man who goes forth endangering his life and wealth and does not return with anything.” [Recorded by Imam al-Bukhari]

When these days of Zilhajj began one would struggle to growth in moral actions with countless strength until he was incapable to growth any longer.

Virtues of Zilhajj Last Ten Days:

  1. Perform Hajj:

Hajj is also known as Pilgrimage. One of the greatest deeds that one can do during first ten days of Zilhajj is Hajj. However for those who are unable to do hajj don’t become sad. There are numerous methods to receive the will of Allah.

  1. Keep fast all the first nine days of Zilhajj, specially on the day of Arafah:

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) always keep fast on the 9th of Zilhajj. He (SAW) said:

“Fasting the Day of ‘Arafah (9th Zilhajj) is an expiation for (all the sins of) the previous year and expiation for (all the sins of) the coming year.” [Sahih Muslim]

  1. Do Dhikr and Takbeer as much as you can:

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“There are no days on which good deeds are greater or more beloved to Allah than on these ten days, so recite much Tahleel (saying la elaha illah), Takbeer (saying Allah o Akbar) and Tahmeed (saying Alhumdullilah).” [Ahmad – Sahih]

At this time takbeer has been forgotten that it is Sunnah. So to memorize it again say it in the masjid, your home and every place where it is allowable to remember Allah. Revive this Sunnah that is almost fail to recall and get the huge rewards for doing this. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“Whoever revives an aspect of my Sunnah that is forgotten after my death, he will have a reward equivalent to that of the people who follow him, without it detracting in the least from their reward.” [Tirmidhi]

  1. In Prayer, stand in the Night:

An act of worship that is very beloved to Allah is Seeking Allah’s forgiveness. Allah servants call out by Allah in the last part of the night:

“Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to his invocation?there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request, Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?” [Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim].

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us

“Our Lord, bless us with the best of this world and the best of hereafter and save us from the fire of Hell.”

  1. Make Honest Regret:

Allah loves those who apologize for their sins and completely submit their self to Allah. The act of honest regret to Allah with the purpose that never ever disobey Him is very beloved to Him. Follow that path which will let you towards Allah Happiness. Allah says,

“But as for him who repented, believed and did righteous deeds, then he will be among those who are successful.” [Al-Qasas 28:67]

  1. Recitation of Holy Quran (The Quran):

It is time to open your copy of the Holy Quran. Begin a lovely new relationship with the book of Allah in these Zilhajj Last Ten Days. Recite verses of Holy Quran and earn the blessings. Understand the message which Holy Quran gives and obey the orders of Allah written in this Holy by implementing in your life. This relationship will open new doors of wisdom and happiness in your life which will eventually lead to guidance and success in this life and the Hereafter also.

  1. Increase all virtuous deeds:

If you are not able to perform Hajj this year, even then try to do every possible virtuous deeds in these blessed days as each and every doing perform with sincerity for the pleasure of Allah will take you closer to Him.

“So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it; and whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it. “[Al-Zalzalah 99:7-8]

  1. Sacrifice:

One of sahabah Ibn Umar said that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) lived in Madina for ten years and every year He (SAW) used to sacrifice the animal taken from Sahih by Al-albani.

  1. Prayer of Eid:

Prayer of Eid is Sunnah of our dear Prophet Muhammad (SAW). We should be profound on performing this Sunnah and practicing according to the instructions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is a time of delight and pleasure and one should be inclusive of all of our brothers and sisters who may not be as privileged to have enough to relish this blessed event.

  1. Thank Allah:

One of the prime forms of worshiping Allah is to thank Him, profoundly, honestly and constantly. Because He is the one who blessed you with all that you have. So one should thank Allah for ALL that He gave: the blessing of Islam, life and each and every blessing you own. These ten days are the great opportunity for Allah’s mercy, forgiveness and guidance.

Alhumdulillah, there is much in these Zilhajj Last Ten Days. So make the most of this perfect chance offered by these priceless and matchless ten days. Hurry to do good deeds and appreciate this blessing and make the most of it.

 “And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (death).” [Al-Hijr 15:99]
