Our Prophet (SAW) said,
“Marriage is my tradition who so ever keeps away there from is not from amongst me”.
Marriage serves as an outlet for sexual needs thus a person does not become a slave to his/ her desires. It serves as a social necessity. because families are established through marriages. Marriage is the only legal relationship between a man and women. It is an agreement between a husband and wife. Concept of marriage is a form of Ibadah too. One should be wise enough to understand the demands and obligations of marriage. Concept of marriage
Rights of Husband & Wife:
Wife Rights
(1) Maintenance
By the authority of Quran and Sunnah, the responsibility of wives’ maintenance (lodging, clothing, food and general care) is on husband. He is the leader of the family and it is his duty to bear the financial responsibility of the family and also provide them comfort and security.
(2) Mahr
Mahr is a gift to bride from groom. A marriage is not accepted without it. In Quran, there is no specification on what or how much Mahr has to be. It can be any material or non-material thing like money, gold, teaching her to read Quran etc. Concept of marriage
(3) Non-material rights.
By the law of Allah it is the right of a wife to be treated with equity, respect, kindness and love. So, Holy Prophet (PBUH) said,
“The most perfect believer in faith is the one whose character is finest and who is kindest to his wife.”
Husband’s rights
It is the right of a husband that his wife must be honest, truthful, and faithful and must contribute to make a successful marriage. And She must not entertain other males and must not allow anyone to have access to which is exclusively her husband’s right.
Obedience
It is the right of husband to be obeyed not because he is superior but because he is leader of the family.So, this right is given to keep the family unit running as smoothly as possible.
There’s a Local saying that says: “Husband and Wife are like two wheels of a Motor Bike, I order to keep the ride smooth and going; both of the wheels have to be fit and working.”
Meaning that: in order for a Marriage to go smoothly and healthily both husband and wife have to participate and work together.

But it is also a must thing that husband should not use his authority in wrong. As mostly male want each and every service from female but they do not behave their wives with kindness. Even they should be cooperative, understanding, forgiving and kind to their wives for a successful relationship.
